Behind the Skybridge, at my creative desk—where quiet moments become playful worlds, curious characters, and new adventures connecting Earth with OteoLand. ✨

First, I sent a human to OteoLand.

Then I opened a TikTok account and decided to bring Oteo to Earth.

Those two decisions gave me new ways to tell stories. They also gave me a new role inside the universe I was creating: Oteo’s liaison on Earth.

But before the cardboard box, the Earth discoveries, and the video calls, there was a world I wanted readers to see.

A World With a Purpose

When I created OteoLand, I imagined a landscape shaped by stardust, invention, and play. A Skybridge connects worlds. The Crystal Dome is a place where ideas become inventions. Beyond it are forests, rivers, and unexpected discoveries waiting around the next corner.

Oteo, Tori, Fetchi, Beanie, and Catie belong to this world. These stardust beings have a mission that reaches beyond their home: they want to help protect children on Earth from the Void Raiders.

The Void Raiders give a face and a personality to the distractions and obstacles that can get in our way. Through these characters, I can turn something abstract into something children can encounter inside an adventure.

In the story of how Oteogo began, I introduced Oteo’s invention: the Image Collector Device, known on Earth as the Oteogo App.

That invention gave the two worlds a connection and a reason to meet.

The stardust beings could cross the Skybridge and bring the device to schools, homes, libraries, even Grandma’s house. After their visits, they would return to OteoLand and continue working on inventions at the Crystal Dome.

But I also wanted to open their home to readers. What would it feel like to arrive there? What would someone from Earth notice first?

For that, I needed an Earthling.

Watch: A World With a Mission

Join me behind the scenes as I introduce OteoLand, its stardust beings, and the purpose that started this creative journey.

Max Arrives in a Cardboard Box

Max sent himself to OteoLand in a cardboard box.

It was a playful beginning for the kind of journey I wanted to create. Through his eyes, I could introduce the landscape, the characters, and the peculiar things that make this world its own.

A resident of OteoLand might pass a snail school bus without a second thought. Max would stop and stare.

That difference became useful to me as a storyteller.

Giving Max a point of view meant I could reveal OteoLand through his reactions. His surprise, questions, and discoveries let readers explore alongside him.

I could explain the world as he encountered it, letting its quirky, funny, playful personality emerge through the adventure.

Then I Opened TikTok

The next creative turn came when I opened a TikTok account.

As I studied the platform, I noticed how creators built content around relatable experiences: something they saw, something that happened to them, or an ordinary moment they had a funny opinion about.

That observation gave me an idea.

What if Oteo became a creator sharing his experiences on Earth?

The stardust beings already had a reason to visit our world. Now I could give Oteo his own perspective on being here.

I began developing Oteo the influencer.

A traffic jam, an expensive bag of bread, or a collection of sneakers could become something he needed to investigate. Familiar experiences gave him something to react to and gave me a way to write humor through his personality.

Opening a TikTok account inspired a new storytelling perspective: Oteo the influencer. Here’s how everyday Earth experiences became his adventures, and I became his liaison.

I opened a TikTok account and gave Oteo a new adventure: exploring Earth as an influencer, with me as his liaison.

Two Travelers Who Find Everything Weird

Now I had Max exploring OteoLand and Oteo exploring Earth.

Each finds the other world strange.

That exchange opened more possibilities for the narrative. I could move between invented discoveries and real fun facts, between books and short videos, between an adventure in OteoLand and an everyday experience here.

The video calls added another connection. Oteo and Max could compare what they were finding and react to each other’s reports.

Their journeys could keep speaking to one another, even while they were worlds apart.

Oteo calls from Earth, and Max answers from OteoLand. Here’s how I bring their discoveries together, one playful conversation at a time.

My Place Between the Worlds

Somewhere along the way, I became Oteo’s liaison on Earth.

As the creator, I develop the stories and decide how to share them. Within the playful frame of this universe, I also help introduce Oteo to Earthlings and connect his experiences with the world he came from.

I enjoy that meeting point between the work behind the scenes and the fiction on the screen.

An idea begins with a question. I choose a perspective, develop a scene, and find a format that lets the character tell it. Sometimes the result is a book. Sometimes it is a funny report or a call between two explorers.

I’m still discovering where these choices will lead.

In a series of short behind-the-scenes videos, I’ll share each stage of this journey: the purpose of OteoLand, Oteo’s invention, Max’s cardboard-box arrival, and the decision that brought Oteo to Earth.

I hope you enjoy seeing how the pieces connect and meeting the creator working behind the Skybridge.

If you could introduce Oteo to one everyday Earth experience, what would you choose?
